HFP regularly provides internship opportunities to students and volunteers. HFP interns are graduate and undergraduate students studying public health, nursing, medicine, and many other subjects. Sometimes HFP recruits interns from specific academic programs. In other cases, interns have contacted HFP on their own seeking a placement. Philadelphia Health Corps recruits approximately 20 members each summer/fall who are interested in making a year-long commitment to community service. Members are placed at community-based organizations in Philadelphia that work to improve access to care and to help individuals and communities become healthier.
