Natalie Levkovich, the Health Federation of Philadelphia CEO was presented with the 2017 Carolyn G. Baxter Lifetime Achievement Award at the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers (PACHC) annual conference.
This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to the community health center movement. It also recognizes the special accomplishments of an individual who has assisted vulnerable individuals access health care, especially through primary health care.
Levkovich has worked for HFP since the organization since 1984, serving as the CEO for the past 30 years. In this capacity, she has been a steadfast advocate for community health centers and the work they do. Throughout her tenure, she has spearheaded cutting edge programs to address issues related to primary health care.
Most recently, Levkovich created the Philadelphia Integrated Care Network to bring together physical and behavioral health in primary care. The program now serves as a national model for other organizations to replicate and study and Levkovich serves as an national thought and practice leader on primary and behavioral healthcare integration, including as the chair of the National Advisory Board for the National Center for Integrated Behavioral Health at the University of Pennylvania.
