Quality Management (QM) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) are cornerstone activities within HFP's scope of work. Examples of current projects include:

• Public Health Core Competencies:  Assisting a unit of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to develop and implement an internal core competencies initiative.

• Implementing a pediatric case management pilot project to asses opportunities for improved surveillance in District Health Care Centers; 

• Continuous Quality Improvement:
  - Assisting the Department of Human Services to pilot a CQI strategy for prevention services
  - Staffing the region-wide CQI efforts that assist providers of HIV/AIDS care in developing standards, creating improvement measures, tracking performance, and implementing corrective action plans
  - Providing the forum and process for the creation of family-centered care performance standards and quality indicators for services to families with or at risk for HIV.
