HFP occasionally has the opportunity to serve as a lead agency and organizer for special initiatives that resonate with our mission and draw on our core competencies and collaborative history. These multi-system, multi-disciplinary initiatives help to build capacity for delivery of efficient and effective care to the public.
The National Health Corps, including the Philadelphia Health Corps program, is an AmeriCorps project funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service. HFP serves as the grantee and coordinating partner for this program, which operates in four locations around the country. This initiative focuses on increasing access to health care services for underserved communities, promoting the health and safety of each Health Corps community, and fostering members’ pursuit of health related careers and an ethic of service.
Multiplying Connections is a cross-system training and policy initiative designed to lessen the impact of trauma on Philadelphia’s children and families. Multiplying Connections links research to changes in practice at the organizational and individual levels.
